"Music is the universal language... It brings people closer together!" Ella Fitzgerald
If you have ever wanted to sing but couldn't find a choir to join that was relaxed, fun and sociable, then you have come to the right place! Vocalights choir was set up in November 2014 by Claire to provide a place for members of the public to come along and sing to their hearts content without worrying about auditions or subscriptions! Claire was very keen to ensure a place in the local community was made accessible to anybody who enjoys singing in a choir and also to experience some sight-reading of music and singing in parts to achieve beautiful harmonies and also primarily to witness the joys that singing can bring. Vocalights performs twice a year in two annual concerts (Christmas and Summer) and over the past three years we have raised over £2000 to donate to local charities. Vocalights is a great place to meet people and socialise and each week has a real emphasis on bringing out the fun in singing. We are like a big family at Vocalights, growing each week, and we are always welcoming to anybody who wishes to give singing in a choir a go!
We meet on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm-9.30pm at AylshamParishChurch Community Room, Aylsham, Norfolk. Sessions follow the school term.

Little Stars children's choir was set up in September 2015 for children to come along and sing in a fun and informal environment. Claire leads the sessions and we cover a range of music including Pop, Disney, Showtunes, Seasonal and Jazz! The children experience singing from simple sheet music or lyrics and learn to sing in simple parts all the while enjoyingfun and games. We work each term towards a performance (twice yearly) which gives the children the chance to take the stage and perform! Whilst learning new songs each term, we also give the children a chance to develop confidence in their singing and sometimes look at solos if children feel comfortable in doing so. There is a 'no-pressure' attitude on any of the children to perform beyond their means, but to have fun and to find their voice. They may even become Little Star of the Week!
We meet on a Thursday afternoon at 5.15-6pm.
If you would like to join us, please contact Claire at - we look forward to hearing from you!

We try to encourage a fun and informal setting at choir and its a great way to meet new people! The choir have concerts or performances at the end of each term, this helps us focus on completely songs and making them pitch perfect in the sessions leading up!
